Is there any public transport(apart from shuttles) to get from Folsom to Sacramento airport?

Is there any public transport(apart from shuttles) to get from Folsom to Sacramento airport, like a combination of light rail from Folsom and bus at Sacramento? Or do you think taking my car to the airport and packing there for a 3-4 day trip is safe enough?

Light Rail departs Folsom to downtown Sacramento where you would switch to the YoloBus which takes travelers to both Sacramento Terminals. MUCH BETTER idea than parking. I've used this alternative many times. Only limited when traveling with children - only because its a hassle to handle kids and luggage on the Light rail or on the bus.

I think parking for 3-4 days would be fine. Use the long-term ("economy") parking lot.
