As the mass media engaged in an orgy of adulation for Ronald Reagan in June of 2004, many thinking persons were remembering and mourning the deaths of the hundreds of thousands of victims of Ronald Reagan's policies and pondering the lasting damage that the man did not only to the United States but to the world.
During Reagan's reign the United States experienced the beginning of the end of what could have been a great nation. Under Reagan, elements within the government engaged in massive criminal activity that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and the entrenchment of a vicious and evil criminal organization that is now firmly in power of not only the United States but much of the world.
Reagan's crimes are many and started well before he was President when he and Bush paid the Iranian's to not release the hostages in order to prevent the re-election of Jimmy Carter in 1980, not mention his reign of stupidity as Governor of California. The hostages were released as promised as Reagan was sworn into office. Reagan then secretly sold chemical & biological weapons to Iraq and told CIA buddy Saddam Hussein to step up bombing of Iran while still selling weapons to Iran in a war that claimed an estimated one million victims. The criminal activities in the Mid East stretched around the world to Central America in the spectacle that came to be known as Iran-Contra.
In Afghanistan, Reagan was busy funding Ossama bin Laden and a terrorist army to displace the Russians. Once the mighty 'Muhjadeen' had completed their task they were partially abandoned and became the Taliban and Al Queda. With no real replacement intended for the Russian backed government, the radical muslims quickly took power. Only later did the army without a war become the enemy so desperately needed by the US defense industry.
In Central America, Reagan-Bush ran a massive criminal operation that imported hundreds of tons of cocaine into the US and shipped arms illegally to the terrorist Contras that Reagan affectionately called "Freedom Fighters". Coca paste was brought in from South America by plane to an airstrip near Puntarenas, Costa Rica owned by Reagan/Bush supporter Julio Calleja and processed on the ranch of CIA operative John Hull. From there the high-grade coke was shipped by plane to the Mina, Arkansas Airport under the protection of Bill Clinton and to various Air Force bases..
Under direct US control, Reagan's 'Freedom Fighters' raped, tortured and murdered tens of thousands of innocent civilians in Nicaragua in an effort to bring down Nicaragua's first democratically elected government. The US had previously ruled Nicaragua through the brutal Somoza family dicatorship, once the dictatorship was overthrown by a popular revolution the US was quick to start an illegal campaign of terror against the government and civilians. The campaign of terror claimed 50,000 lives and crippled the entire nation.
Nicaragua took its case to the World Court. The court found that the U.S. actions constituted "an unlawful use of force .... [that] cannot be justified either by collective self-defence ... nor by any right of the United States to take counter-measures involving the use of force." The court ordered the United States to pay reparations, estimated at between $12 billion and $17 billion, to Nicaragua. Two weeks after the verdict was issued, the U.S. Congress voted to give the Contras $100 million to continue their war of terror against the people of Nicaragua. The US has never recognized the World Court's ruling or paid any of the compensation owed to Nicaragua.
"The ripple effects of that criminal murderous intervention in my country will go on for 50 years or more." Fr. D'Escoto, Priest and former Nicaraguan Foreign Minister
Reagan's blood-fest wasn't limited to Nicaragua, his puppet military dictators abducted, tortured, murdered and mutilated close to 200,000 civilians in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras in the name of 'democracy' and fighting communism. Nor was the slaughter done only through the US controlled dictators. In operations that are still highly classified, US AC-130 gunships, crewed by US personnel, flew at night over mountainous areas with potential rebels and killed anything that gave off body-heat. The AC-130 is a highly sophisticated computerized killing machine that "incorporate side-firing weapons integrated with sophisticated sensor, navigation and fire control systems to provide surgical firepower or area saturation during extended loiter periods, at night and in adverse weather. The sensor suite consists of a television sensor, infrared sensor and radar." - US Air Force
In 1999 the United Nations determined that the wholesale slaughter of Guatemalans, constituted "genocide." It was a genocide ordered and managed by the White House under Reagan.
For their part in Iran-Contra fourteen high level government officials were charged, yet few of them were convicted and received any real penalty. Bush pardoned six of the conspirators. Some of those involved in the Iran-Contra crimes are now back in power under the current Bush administration.
Despite some environmental concessions to voters while Governor of California, Reagan's real views on the environment became clear during his Presidential campaign when he claimed that trees caused more air pollution than cars. During his criminal reign of terror he systematically dismantled environmental protection laws and rolled back decades of hard-won progress to protect the Earth and the health of its inhabitants.
To help ensure the rape of the land he appointed lunatic James Watt as Secretary of the Interior who claimed "We donâ™t have to protect the environment, the Second Coming [of Christ] is at hand." It wasn't until Watt was trying to defend his decision to give away more than 1 billion tons of coal from federal lands in Wyoming that he was finally acknowledged for what he was. His defense for the coal giveway was that he was immune to criticism because members of his coal-advisory panel included "a black ... a woman, two Jews, and a cripple." This comment got finally him fired in 1983.
His appointee for the EPA was the environment molester Anne Gorsuch who tried her best to gut the hard-won Clean Air and Clean Water Acts. Gorsuch's Superfund Director, Rita Lavelle, was jailed for lying to Congress under oath about the corruption in her division. Gorsuch was fired in 1983 when documents exposed by Congress revealed the corruption and crimes committed by the EPA under her direction.
Much of the activity of the Reagan years can be explained by the fact that Ronnie and Nancy were devout supporters of satanists. So devout that they insisted the head of the satanic Temple of Set, Colonel Michael Aquino, visit the White House wearing his satanic high-priest robe. With Reagan's support Aquino was able to get satanism recognized as a protected religious belief in the military. Aquino was investigated by the military as well as the San Francisco Police Dept. when children identified him as head of a "Devil Worship Club" that ritually molested, murdered and cannibalized children. The court document notes that several members of the Army thought there was probable cause to "Title" Aquino with offenses of indecent acts with a child, sodomy, conspiracy, kidnapping, and false swearing - but the case was dismissed under pressure from the highest levels.
Daughter Maureen Reagan was close to Larry King, head of the failed Franklin Community Credit Union, Republican darling and leader of a child abduction, pornography and prostitution ring. Larry King was well known in the 1980's for his lavish parties attended by Republican power-elite. Less well known was the fact that some of his events came with party favors of child sex-slaves. King was involved with the satanic CIA child abduction and mind control program that kidnapped Johnny Gosch while he was delivering newspapers.
The June 29, 1989 Washington Times ran an article under the headlines of "Homosexual Prostitution Probe Ensnares Official of Bush, Reagan,'' with the kicker "Call Boys Took Midnight Tour of White House.'' The article said that "A homosexual prostitution ring is under investigation by federal and District authorities and includes among its clients key officials of the Reagan and Bush administrations, military officers, congressional aides and U.S. and foreign businessmen with close ties to Washington's political elite."
When the FBI and Omaha police refused to investigate allegations against King, the Nebraska State Legislature conducted an investigation that uncovered a satanic criminal trail that led to the what longtime CIA Director William Colby called "the highest levels." Fifteen of the people involved in the investigation died under mysterious circumstance, included William Colby - who was acting as a consultant to the investigation. King was ultimately convicted of fraud for his part in the theft of over $40 million from the credit union and served five years in prison but was never convicted of his more heinous offences.
The Republican party kept King in its innermost circle even after his indictment. He sang the Star Spangled Banner at the Republican National Convention in 1988 while under investigation. It wasn't until his arrest that the Republican party finally turned its back on him.
In 1998 & 1999, a U.S. District Court in Lincoln, Nebraska, heard testimony in the case of Paul A. Bonacci v. Lawrence E. King in which Bonacci charged that he had been ritualistically abused by the defendant, as part of a nationwide pedophile ring liked to powerful political figures in Washington and to elements of the U.S. military and intelligence establishment. Judge Warren K. Urbom ordered King, in Federal prison at the time, to pay $1 million in damages to Bonacci, in what Bonacci's attorney John DeCamp said was a clear signal that "the evidence presented was credible."
America's worst financial disaster since the Great Depression occured under Reagan with the collapse of the Savings & Loan system. Nearly $500 billion was looted from thousands of Savings & Loans by a criminal ring that included the Mafia, CIA and the Bush family. Neil Bush was involved in the collapse of Silverado Savings & Loan but never served any jail time. By the time the Federal government and elite is done milking the scam further, US taxpayers will have paid well over a trillion dollars.
The full extent of Reagan's crimes may never be known because George W. Bush issued an executive order which countermands the 1978 Presidential Records Act and prevents the release of 68,000 pages of Reagan era documents. Given that Reagan lacked the intelligence to carry out some of the more elaborate crimes, the records are likely to shed light on the true role of the Bush crime family.
Let us remember Reagan as he really was...
Liar
Thief
Mass murderer
War criminal
Traitor
Destroyer of freedom
Destroyer of the environment
Corporate whore
Supporter of satanists and child murderers
Idiot, moron
His Presidency is like a person with a credit card with a HUGE spending limit. As long as you are spending, life is great (the 80's were an awesome time). However, eventually the credit card bills back up and the bad times come about...this the BUSH I Presidency...increased taxes to pay the "credit card bill." Recession...brought on by over spending in the 80's.
Personally, I can not believe that Ronald Reagan is thought of as a great president. He continued his acting career all the way to the White House.
You people are entitled to your ignorance. Reagan was a great president who saved the USA from Nuclear War and helped the economy and the positive effects are still evident today. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20070626065946AARITNy&kid=H6d4W0jhBjAQNAll18Xc&s=comm&date=2007-11-19+11%3A33%3A01&.crumb=
1) Sold arms to terrorists (Iran/Contra scandal)
2) Operated his entire Presidency on CREDIT, wrote "blank checks" his entire term. Spend, Spend, Spend
3) Pursued the ridiculous idea of "Star Wars" even though ALL EXPERTS in the field said it would NEVER work, as there were simply too many variables.
4) "Piss on the Poor" economics, euphemistically referred to as Trickle Down Economics
5) Grandstanding with "tear down that wall" when, in fact, the Russian empire was already well on the way to its own downfall--Raygun was an innocent bystander
6) Deregulating the entire Mental Health system resulted in thousands of mentally ill Americans being turned out IN THE STREETS. Literally. With no medication or doctor's supervision. The Homeless Crisis is born.
7) Catastrophic waste of tax dollars on nuclear proliferation - in hindsight was COMPLETELY unnecessary and expensive.
8) Did I mention he sold WEAPONS TO TERRORISTS?
1. He kept the arms race going far beyond necessary. At the time we had enough nukes to destroy the world over 25 times. He just kept spending and spending, while lowering taxes on the rich, then running up huge debt for military spending. As a result....
2. The USA saw an increase in poverty, homelessness, illiteracy, health care costs, etc.
3. They give him credit for ending communism, but communism ended itself because the people were unhappy in USSR and Eastern Europe. Some argue that he bankrupted them by continuing to compete in the arms race and finally they gave up. But we're still paying for it.
4. He believed in the trickle-down theory, that if you give tax breaks to the rich, they'll create jobs and thus help the poor.
There's a grain of truth in that, since surely altruistic wealthy people would choose to give back to their society. But many just bought more property and charged higher rents and got richer and richer on the backs of the poor and middle classes.
I recall people saying that Reagan was great on both sides of the card but also kept his homosexual son low profile (wasn't the speaker of the house's daughter a homosexual activist at the time?) Just say no was about as successful as No Child Left Behind, many people received great tax breaks. When he came into the office, the Iran-Contra affair quickly lets go of over 300 captive Americans. So to a lot of people his crap couldn't stink. To others, they kept warning, stop spending and get a noose around these wild horses or we'll be paying for this for decades... And surprise surprise, not even a war was enough to get us back into shape from the spending/tax breaks that was done. He is also targeted for not being more aggressive about the AIDS epidemic but some are changing their tune and saying that there wasn't enough knowledge at the time to take a course that was clear and thus appeared to be stalling.
Oh! I almost forgot! He is also the one where when your parents died, you USED to get their social security until you died he changed (or at least allowed it to change) so that once you turned 18, all Social Security benefits that your parents earned stopped.
he wasn't horrible, just not very good...he was popular & that's what has formed his myth/legacy
Ronald Reagan Guilty of Treason & War Crimes

He started the downfall of middle class america with his "reaganomics" which basically is the trickle down effect along with many other policies to hurt the working man.
He did a pretty good job as president, especially in regards to foreign policy. However his domestic social programs were not the greatest, and left many behind, which began the growing divide between liberal and conservatives, which led to the current political situation where the parties are essentially owned the radical left and right wings and the moderate majority in the U.S. has been left without representation. Perhaps the worst thing that came from Reagan was the famous "11th" commandment, which was "though shall not speak ill of a fellow Republican". While this was really just a one liner for a speech at some Republican event, the party latched onto to it, and it began the policy among Republicans of keeping silent about fellow Republican wrongdoing, which has led to the current implosion the party is facing now. If Republicans had engaged in some honest self criticism of its members before it was too late, it is unlikely the country would be in the state it is now. And the Republican party would not be crisis.
He ran the White House using astrology. He gave the first amnesty. He took full credit for the iron curtain falling down when there were many responsible including Carter and the Pope.
Because all politicans fail. People look to men for a solution to their problems and it has never happened in all of human history. It is the acceptance of that very fact.
he didn't do much (if anything) for low income communities and crack and guns spluged in that time period which a lot of people blame him for, him a his (Reganomics). It is widely believed that the government had alot to do with that. why were so many gun shops placed in low income areas.....who really needed that many guns? and poor people wasn't bringing the crack over here so how'd it get here in such abundunce?
Miguel D'Escoto was Nicaragua's foreign minister under the Sandinista government in the 1980s.
"I, for one, would like to say only nice things about the late president. I'm not insensitive to the feelings of many U.S. people mourning Mr. Reagan, but I pray that God in his infinite mercy and goodness forgive him for having been the butcher of my people, for having been responsible for the deaths of some 50,000 Nicaraguans. We cannot, we should not, ever forget the crimes he committed in the name of what he falsely labeled freedom and democracy."
"More perhaps than any other U.S. president, Reagan convinced many around the world that the U.S. is a fraud, a big lie. Not only was it not democratic, but in fact the greatest enemy of the right of self-determination of peoples. Reagan was known as the great communicator, and I believe that that is true only if one believes that to be a great communicator means to be a good liar. That he was for sure. He could proclaim the biggest lies without even as much as blinking an eyelash. Hearing him talk about how we were supposedly persecuting Jews and burning down non-existent synagogues, I was led to believe really, that Reagan was possessed by demons. Frankly, I do believe Reagan at that time as much as Bush today was indeed possessed by the demons of manifest destiny."
"Of course, as I say this, I'm quite aware that to the people of say, for example, Project for a New American Century, that is counted as a big plus. Because of Reagan and his spiritual heir, George W. Bush, the world today is far less safe and secure than it has ever been. Reagan in fact was an international outlaw. He came to the Presidency of the United States shortly after Somoza, a dictator that the U.S. has imposed over Nicaragua for practically half a century, had been deposed by Nicaraguan Nationalists under the leadership of the Sandinista Liberation Front."
"To Reagan, Nicaragua had to be re-conquered. He blamed Carter for having lost Nicaragua, as if Nicaragua ever belonged to anyone else other than the Nicaraguan people. Reagan invented, mounted, financed and directed the Contra War, about which he continually lied to the people, helping the United States people to be the most ignorant people around the world. I said ignorant, I don't say not intelligent. They are ignorant of what the U.S. does abroad. People don't even begin to see--if they did, they would rebel. And so, he lied to the people, as Bush lies to the people today and as they push on, thinking that the United States is above every law, human or divine."
"And we took the United States, Reagan's United States, his government to court, the World Court. I was Foreign Minister at that time here in Nicaragua. I was responsible for that. And the United States government received the harshest sentence, the harshest condemnation ever in the history of world justice. Despite the U.S. proclaiming its moral superiority, its adherence to international law and obedience to the World Court, when the they were brought to the World Court in Nicaragua and received the condemnation, the United States failed to heed the sentence, owing Nicaragua between $20,000 and $30,000 million. This moderate estimate was calculated by the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America, along with Harvard University, Oxford and the University of Paris."
"The United States was ordered to pay for the damage. Bush never even wanted to talk to me about it. I said, "Well, let's have a meeting so that you comply with your sentence of the court." He said to me in two different letters that there was nothing to talk about."
"So, Reagan did damage to Nicaragua beyond the imagination of the people who are hearing me now. The ripple effects of that criminal murderous interventions in my country will go on for what, 50 years or more."

Like Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan had his faults but they were both good presidents regardless of what their opponents say about them.
Can you say Alzheimers?
its the sign of the devil:
Ronald wilson Reagan.
__6_____6____6
six letters in each word 666 the sign of the devil.
I am and have always been a Democrat. However, based on the choices at the time, I voted for Reagan and would again. He was the best President since Kennedy and far surpasses the current class clown.
Ron Reagan was a God and the Best president in America And saved the Known World!
Reagan was a great President for the simple fact the he ended the Cold War. He spent so much damn money on crazy things like "Star Wars" that the U.S.S.R. had no choice but to try and keep up and they eventually bankrupted themselves doing so. He eliminated one of, if not the biggest, enemy to U.S. every and he did so without firing a single shot.
Reagan was actually a very good president. Your personal feelings aside you have to look at the political climate during the 80s. We were coming out of a terrible economic recession in the late 70s. Interests rates were sky high. There were gas embargos and the tension with the Soviet Union was at an all time high. He carefully guided us through some very difficult times. He should be remembered as a great president and history will be very kind to him.
He wasn't. Matter of fact, I remember the news talking about Congress re-writing the rules to allow him to serve a third term in his day. It didn't happen, but he was a great President.
